Some changes are underway at Joy to Wellness Health Coaching! Please see below.
New credentials: I’m excited to inform you that I will soon add to my credentials the title of Integrative Health Coach as I complete training in July at Duke Integrative Medicine, which is part of Duke Medicine. Duke’s health coaching model is based on many years of clinical research and practice with patients. Their process is patient-centric and emphasizes a productive coach-client relationship, benefiting the client to feel empowered to make lasting changes to support his/her health.
You can learn more about my approach and the benefits of working with a health coach on my Health Coaching FAQs page.
Main service offerings: Moving forward, my main service offering will be individual health coaching. In order to promote positive health outcomes for my clients, I will recommend a minimum commitment of either 6 consecutive weekly coaching sessions OR three months (with 2 sessions per month) for our work together. This will allow my clients enough time to develop, practice and ultimately maintain newly formed habits. With every client, I strive to work in partnership with them, providing support and expertise in health behavior change, while also giving them opportunities along the way to discover their motivation and to develop strategies for reaching their goals.
In addition, I will continue to offer the following services:
- Customized Recipe Libraries
- Sugar Cleanses (offered monthly; next one begins July 13)
- Guest writing (e.g., for blogs and newsletters)
- Speaking (at wellness events/workshops)
Discontinued services: As of August 1, I will discontinue my pantry makeover and gluten-free coaching. For clients whose primary goal is healthier eating, I will continue to make available (through individual coaching) information like recipes, handouts and other resources that will support them in expanding their nutritional knowledge. For those who need to dive a little deeper, I will be happy to refer them to a trusted partner/registered dietician who serves clients both remotely and in the Chicagoland area.
Scheduled maternity leave: I’m expecting! This means I’ll be taking maternity leave from late October to early January, 2106. For new clients interested in individualized health coaching during 2015, my cut-off for enrollment will be September 1st (allowing for a 6 week program).
If you would like to learn more about my practice, or you are a health practitioner with an interest in referring patients to me, please contact me at 312.890.3260 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
To your health,
